This is a list of specialized tools for virus removal from BitDefender.

These tools can be used to remove of many of the most common viruses.

The links will take you to a description page, most with a direct link on the page to download the removal tool for each virus.

The online scanner requires Internet Explorer to be installed and will download an Active X file.

I prefer Firefox for browsing with IE Tabs. But there are times such as this when IE is required, so it stays in my program list for such occasions.

You need to accept the Terms and allow the Active X installation, you then have the option to scan the whole of your computer or to select specific files or drives.

The default settings are to scan everything and also to remove infected files.

You can select an action to be performed when infected files are found, I set it to User Prompt and Second Action to User Prompt which gives me control over what is found with the option for BitDefender to clean the infected files.
