Open AVG by double clicking the icon in your taskbar or on your desktop, double click on the Web Shield component and untick Enable Web Shield then click on Save changes, then double click on the Linkscanner component and disable all options then click Save changes, if you have the Firewall included in your version double click on the Firewall component and select disable, click Save changes.
You will then need to go to AVG's support page, click on 1561: Inactive components and/or blocked internet connection after update to 8.0.196 and download the fixfiles.zip to your computer, double click to open it and then double click the fixfiles.exe to install the patch.
