I was somewhat amazed to receive an email with the 'Inside MyWOT newsletter' to find that along with several others I had received the WOT Publicity Award 2008 for my small contribution through my wordpress blog and is something that I will continue to raise awareness of and promote here on the new home of Free PC Security.
It is always an honor and very humbling to receive awards and this was quite unexpected.
Web of Trust is something that I do actively promote on my blog and through various forums, as I believe that it is of great benefit to all internet users and helps to safeguard them from so many bad sites including rogue software, adult orientated and many more.
It is a wonderful initiative that continues to gain momentum with more users downloading the browser add-on each day.
At present it is close to 3 million downloads, so I would ask all readers to encourage others to download this superb add-on and make their surfing a safer experience.
