Who Blocked You On MSN
Posted Under: Email Dangers,Free PC Security,personal information,phishing
Here we go again!
Who blocked you on MSN? Who REALLY cares?
By entering YOUR username AND password your pc security has been compromised. It's that simple.
If you, or your friends, are stupid enough to enter full login details of YOUR account and by doing so 'agree to the Terms' you will get problems as you have given FULL permission for a third party to have FULL access to your account.
The terms partial content:
"We may temporarily access your MSN account to do a combination of the following:
1. Send Instant Messages to your friends promoting this site.
2. Introduce new entertaining sites to your friends via Instant Messages.
By using our service/website you hereby fully authorize Tubela Management, Inc to send messages of a commercial nature via Instant Messages and E-Mails on behalf of third parties via the information you provide us.
This agreement shall be construed and governed by the law of the republic of Panama. You expressly consent to the exclusive venue and personal jurisdiction of the courts located in the Republic of panama for any actions arising from or relating to this agreement."
What users have done is entered their username and password for their MSN Live / Hotmail account.
This gives access to the criminals behind these scams to ALL of YOUR contacts and they in turn will receive an email inviting them to find out 'who blocked them'!
What's the big deal?
Somebody blocked you?
They don't want to talk to you.....simple!
So why the hell do users enter their details to find out WHO blocked them?
They still don't want to talk to you!
But...the criminals have all of your contacts email addresses, and for those that are stupid enough to enter their details, they will also have ALL of their contacts email addresses and so it continues.
It takes only ONE person to start the ball rolling and thousands end up caught in this vicious circle.
Then along comes the spam emails, malicious download links in emails apparently from YOUR friends, but your friends deny all knowledge of it.
They did not send it, the spambots did as users are kind enough to allow them full access to their account!
How stupid and gullible can people be?
